So it’s only November 15th and we’ve already gotten our first snow fall of the season! About 5 inches I would say, mixed with some sleet, and rain, but mostly snow. We were so excited to get the call last night that school was CLOSED today! And it’s looking like we’ll probably get another snow day tomorrow.
My girls slept in until almost NINE AM this morning. N-I-N-E. That sentence alone is worth documenting. My girls are usually up by 7am, 7:30 if I’m lucky so this was a glorious occasion! Angels sing…..ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Haha.
After about 30 minutes of bundling the girls up we finally headed out for some play time. Poor Isla was so puffy from all the layers she just kept falling over every couple of steps. Haha. Mama needs to remember that next time and go a little lighter on the layers.
Isla didn’t last very long, mainly because it was right around nap time and she was already dealing with that. She wasn’t happy outside so I brought her in. Then I brought her in and she wanted to be outside so I was like….ooookay, kid. Nap time for YOU! She slept from 1-4pm. I think it was a good call on my part.
Josie on the other hand played with her little friend next door for a good hour and then hung out with me while I muscled through and shoveled our driveway. Haha. It really wasn’t that bad, and I considered it a workout for that day so its all good.
We came inside after about 2 hours to warm up with some hot chocolate. That Josie then proceeded to spill all over my new couch. (one of those ::deep breath:: mama moments!) So it was cocktail time for mom!! We’ve been lounging ever since.
Hope everyone had a great snow day!!
