One. I’ve been trying to do at least one thing each week out of the house with my youngest, Isla. She’s at a very curious age so keeping her attention on anything is a challenge, but I also want to get her in social settings and into more educational activities. So last week we went to the local library for “story time” (aka-run around like a wild banshee time) and this week we had a play date with a friend at the local discovery museum and it was so much fun!
Two. I shared the making of these Pumpkin Snickerdoodles on my insta-stories a few days ago, but I’m sharing the full recipe here!
Three. So the Boston Red Sox have made it to the World Series and while I’m not a huge baseball fan, my hubby is and I proudly support his teams–especially when they make it to the World Series! He’s super stoked, so I am. Go RedSox!!!
Four. Josie had her first Kindergarten field trip to Great Country Farms this week. She rode the bus with all her pals, while Isla and I followed behind for a day at the pumpkin patch. It was super cold and windy so we stayed bundled up! But also nice to get out in the fresh air.
Five. Josie had her first school dance where she got a chance to break it down on the dance floor with all her little friends. It was literally the cutest thing ever and girlfriend didn’t want to go home. Her school does a Fall and Spring dance so lots more of these to look forward too. 🙂
Six. One of my friends threw a Halloween party this year and it was super fun! I love getting all of our kiddos together but holy moly–they are LOUD and CRAZY when they get together! Haha. Josie was a kitty cat, Isla just wore her skeleton jammies, and I dressed as a World Series fan. Lame, perhaps. But a super last minute costume that was comfy and didn’t require much effort equals a win for me!
Seven. Speaking of Halloween….I shared a post earlier today with some cute children’s Halloween jammie finds–and most on sale! Also, we are gearing up for pumpkin carving and trick-or-treating with neighbors this week! I’ll have pics of Vampirina and Minnie Mouse coming atcha so check IG & FB for those. 🙂
It’s a drill weekend for Daddy so it’s just been me and my little babes. Isla woke up early this morning with a fever and I’m hoping that doesn’t turn into anything too bad, but we might have a trip to the doctor on our list for tomorrow. 🙁 So it’s going to be a lazy day for us for sure! The best kind of Sundays.
