Or Monday even. While I had this post drafted, I just never hit the publish button! Woops!
Anywho! It was a pretty uneventful week around here, but nonetheless….here we go!
One. In case you missed it, I shared a super yummy recipe a few days ago. Check it out here. All of my leftovers are gone and I’m not gonna lie, I kinda want to make it again this week.
Two. Kitchen update! Our back-splash was installed this week-Yay! But I gotta be honest, I like it, I don’t love it…yet. 🙁 There are a few minor things that need to be corrected by the company, so I’m hoping after that I will be 100% happy with it. We are starting some other projects this coming week so it’s coming along. But at our pace it will probably be another month before we wrap things up in here.
Three. My husband and I finished another week of LIIFT 4 and are on to week 7 which is the start of “shred weeks”. I’m hoping to drop some lb’s because even though I haven’t gained weight per-say, the scale hasn’t moved much in 6 weeks. But I’m sure that’s due to building muscle because there is no way I haven’t done that. Also, my diet has not been on point like it should, so I’m going to try really REALLY hard these last two weeks to be good!
Four. As you know, I’ve had the Fall itch for a few weeks now! I made a late night purchase the other night from Bath & Body Works to stock up on some new candles and hand soaps. (Anyone else shop from bed when you can’t sleep?) Getting that package was like Christmas morning and I have already been burning my pumpkin deliciousness. I love their 3 wick candles and did you know that almost every weekend they are HALF OFF?! Say whaaaat?
This scent from Target is also one of my favvvvorite smells! I plan on picking up both of these for sure!
Five. We spent Friday evening with my sister-in-law and her husband and it was so nice catching up! The girls ran around like crazies, like they always do, but we had fun playing a family game of duck, duck, goose and hide’n’seek! Followed up with a tractor ride for Josie. The girls were exhausted leaving there, but we had a great time!
Six. The weekend was spent cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning. I swear I would kill for a cleaning lady again. Totally kidding…maybe. 😉 But I just can’t justify the expense right now. I’m trying to get on a better schedule with cleanings, but it is tough to stay on track! Maybe I can talk my husband into working one good deep clean each month into the budget???? I’ve been using my planner to write down my chores for each day so it’s not so overwhelming. Though you know how it is once you get started….one chore leads to another and then this area needs to be reorganized or tidied up and the you end up in a totally different room than you wanted to be in and then the laundry needs changed/folded/put away and then the kids are pulling every freakin’ toy out again so you are literally just running in circles all GD day and get like none of your list accomplished! Ughhhh. Who feels me there??
We did get together with friends on Saturday evening which was super fun! Josie got to see one of her favorite pals and they had a good time playing and taking selfies. 😉
Seven. So I told you our week was pretty uneventful….case in point with #7 here. Haha. But I just always have to laugh at my kids. They have a play room packed to the gills with anything and everything, but you give them a box and its like the best thing ever.
Have a great one, friends! XO
