Before I stayed home with my girls I had this grand idea of how I’d be super organized and my house would always be clean and tidy and I was going to be the best housewife ever!!!! Then reality hit and let me tell you it couldn’t be farther from that little fantasy of mine. Thinking back now I just laugh at my naive self like, girl…damn were you wrong OR WHAT?!? Haha.
I’ve tried to get myself organized little by little, but the one area I’ve always struggled with simply keeping this house clean! I’ll do good for a week or so and then things slowly start to fall apart again. It quickly turns into this downward spiral of toys everywhere and laundry piling by the loads. Not all dirty laundry. Clean folded laundry that sits in the basket in the hallway or on my bedroom floor until I FINALLY put it away. But you see where I’m going with this. Things fall apart quickly if I’m not on top of it everyday! All you super organized and OCD people are probably rolling your eyes at me right now, but truth is, I aspire to be like you!
So anyway, I’ve decided to do something with my dirty self. 😉 There are a billion different cleaning checklists out there, but I decided to create my own. I’m gonna print this B out and hang it front and center on my fridge. If this doesn’t help me, I’m not sure what will! Ha. Feel free to print your own copy here: Weekly Cleaning Checklist!
I have learned that it works better for me to space things out and do a little everyday instead of trying to do it ALL in one day! Also, being realistic in the sense that I KNOW my ass isn’t going to be cleaning everyday of the week–so two off days are scheduled in as well.
