One. Halloween came and went in a flash this year! Josie dressed up as Vampirina (Disney Character) and Isla wore the hand-me-down Minnie Mouse dress that Josie wore a couple of years ago. But still just as cute as can be! Daddy had to work, but before he left we carved our pumpkin, then met up with the neighbors for some pizza before hitting the streets! Our little clan of girls went up and down each driveway like some ol’ trick-or-treating pros. Trying to eat all the candy as they were collecting it. The weather was freakishly nice that day so it was a great night for trick or treating.
Helping me keep my sanity!
Two. There is something about Fall that makes me want to make all the soups! I shared a Chili Recipe and a Chicken Tortilla Soup Recipe over the past few weeks, but I also made this Chicken Gnocchi Soup and my husband claims it was the best I’ve ever made. It’s safe to say I’ll be adding this one into the winter rotation for sure!
Three. We had family photos taken and I’m kind of obsessed with them. You can check all of them out here. I can’t quite pick a favorite, but this one is up there! 😉
Four. We’ve been renovation central over here the past few months, and are finally getting our house back in order. We love to have friends over and since it had been forever we had a little gathering last Friday night. In my opinion, the best times are when we can all get together at someones house….just low-key. To eat, drink, and let all the kiddos run and play and not have to worry about sitters, driving, spending a ton of money, etc. It’s always a fun time with our crew.
Five. Since mommy had a smidge too much wine the night before–see #4 ;-), our Saturday was super chill. Daddy actually left the house early to head to Atlantic City for a guys trip, so the girls and I stayed in jammies almost all day, made homemade blueberry muffins, and watched movies and played all. day. long. Then mom ended the weekend with some “me time”. The absolute best.
Six. It was flu shot week for the entire family. I didn’t tell Josie until we were literally in the parking lot of the doctors office because I KNEW she would freak out. Which she did, until the shot was in her leg that is. Then she said…”was that it? It’s over?” This girl was losing her flippin’ mind up until that moment, but am I so glad she quickly realized that is wasn’t “that bad”. I mean, I don’t know of anyone who really enjoys a shot, but it’s just one of those things you gotta deal with. And fro-yo always helps!
Seven. It’s straight up feeling like Winter now, but like 3 days ago we had some warmer temps. Warm enough to hit up the local park for a little playtime before it’s really too cold.
I seriously can’t believe Thanksgiving is less than TWO WEEKS AWAY! We are hosting again this year and it’s time to start planning the feast. 🙂
