Oh hey, March! Where did February go??
Well clearly it was here because I have so many favorite moments to share from the month of love.
Isla’s 1st Birthday. My littlest little officially turned one on the 2nd. You can read all about it here. She’s now 13 months, babbling up a storm, and so close to walking–but being a little stubborn about it! Hopefully soon I’ll be chasing her around more than I already am.
Since having that first taste of cake, we’ve tried a few other sweets including Mommy’s favorite…OREOS. Do you think she liked it?
Superbowl Party. At this point we alllll know that our beloved New England Patriots lost to the Philadelphia Eagles. No need to rub salt in that wound! However, on a positive note, we did have a low-key Superbowl Party with our neighbors. Some yummy treats, drinkypoos, JT, and my husband being the slightly obnoxious fan that he is—what more could you ask for?! A win you say, well yes, that would’ve been great!!!!! There’s always next year though!
Not sure we had enough snacks for 4 people….ha! Also, I cranked out those decorations on the fly that morning. Adds a little extra party fun, right? Chalk board is from Hobby Lobby.
Baked Buffalo Wings that are WHOLE 30 and soooo tasty–I promise you can’t tell the difference! I also cannot promise that ranch is Whole 30 compliant–it’s all about balance. 😉
Cheers to our first drinks together after Whole 30!
Patriots cups all around!
Parenthood Obsession. Holy moly was I living under a rock from 2010-2015 when this aired or what? This is exactly the type of show that I looove….the funny, make you have all the good and sad feels, close to real life kind of show. Probably why it has joined my list of favorites along with This is Us and Brothers and Sisters. It’s on Netflix if you too were living under a rock and want to check it out. Or maybe you should just go ahead and buy the complete series from Amazon. I’m actually considering it myself. I’m only on Season 3, but am trying to pace myself as there really isn’t much good TV on right now—and honestly, I just don’t spend a ton of time watching TV these days!
Valentine’s Day. Aww, thinking back on this day makes me smile. It was a semi-warm day out and I spent it all with my little and big valentines–we had donuts, Josie had ballet, we took a stroll to downtown Winchester for lunch at El Centro, followed with a stop by the park. Good times. Josie and I also hosted a Galentine’s Day Party for her little girlfriends! Super fun 🙂
Daddy Daughter Date. Aaron doesn’t get much alone time with the kiddos just one-on-one so I was happy he was able to take Josie to see Peter Rabbit at the Alamo a few weeks ago. And it makes me even happier when it’s his idea! This girl doesn’t look excited at all, does she? 😉 From what I hear the movie was super cute and Josie was a trooper throughout the entire thing. Just give that girl a bowl of popcorn and she’ll sit still for hours–ha!
And seriously, with the #twinning. Not sure it get’s any cuter than that!
Time with Friends. We got to spend some time with a few of my closest girl friends and their significant others for a fun winery day, and then brunch with other close friends of ours! You can read all about it here.
My babe.
More Sunshiney Winter Days. There is seriously not much I love more than a warm and sunny day–and we had several in the month of February! Though currently, the sun has faded and its sleeting with some snow in the forecast, but we are still counting the days to Spring!
Lunch downtown at the Village Market Bistro with some of the cheesiest grilled cheese around! And it just so happens to be called “Josie’s Grilled Cheese” on the menu. 😉
Straight Up Luxe. Omgeee. So, I might be a little late to this party, but Old Navy has a newer collection of clothes called “Luxe” and lemme tell you, i luxe it! 😉 It’s this super soft, lightweight, cozy, not formfitting line of tanks, long and short sleeve t’s. They have regular and plus sizes and I think some would even work great for maternity wear! I’m a girl who loves a good deal and seriously will not pay a lot for my clothes, so if I can find something affordable that feels like I paid more, count me in! I picked up a couple of tanks for our trip to Florida and will most likely be back for more. Shhhh…don’t tell my hubs.
SAHM Life. I’ve been getting the question a lot lately about staying at home with my girls and if I’m loving it and adjusting well, etc. Truth is…some days are trying, but I do absolutely-freakin’-love-it! While I somehow may be more sleep deprived and disorganized than before, I am overall happier and 100% less stressed than I was while working. I’m planning on doing a post soon about my transition from FT-Working Mama, to FT-Stay at Home Mama and will share some of my experiences there.
Besides, who else is going to take hundreds of pictures of these girls in sweet little moments like this?! Momtographer and Coordinator of Chaos are my new jobs and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Oh Hey Vacay. Ahhhh….the trip we’d been planning for what seemed like 5 years. Well really only one year or less, but you know how it is when you get SUPER pumped about vacation—It can never get here soon enough! We just got back a couple of days ago so once my liver is back to functioning without alcohol (kidding…sorta), I’ll be recapping the trip! But until then, I’ll tell you how these sunny skies and palm trees were like everything to me. So pretty!
T-shirt from Old Navy. Fresh mani nail chippage because Momlife.
Oh! And ICYMI….(I recently learned what the hell this means “In case you missed it”…duhhhhh! I feel complete and so cool now–ha!)….I revamped my laundry space/storage/bedroom for Rileyroo. You can check out the embarrassing before and amazing after photos here!! I’m trying to decide if my next organization project will be my kitchen pantry or my dresser drawers—both are a hot mess so stay tuned!
Thanks for being here–I hope you’ll stay a while! XO
