My beauty routine is short and sweet, y’all. Most days I’m rushing out the door with a toddler at my feet, so quick + easy makeup that works is my go-to lately. On days when I have more time, I probably take around 15 minutes to apply my makeup, but lets be honest here, that’s a rarity. And there are a lot of days where I don’t where any makeup at all.
Though, over the past year I’ve tried some new products that I’ve been loving. Some drugstore and some higher end brands. I do have a good mix of both and I’m never opposed to trying a drugstore product that rivals the more expensive brands. There are a lot of good dupes out there for much less! All about saving a buck over here!
Here is what a typical spread looks like for my 5 minute makeup.

After I apply my moisturizer, lately I’ve been using the Monat Rejuvenique Oil as my moisturizer, and sunscreen, Rodan & Fields Reverse SPF, then I start with a foundation of some sort.

Depending on what kind of coverage I’m trying to achieve, either light or full coverage, I’ll rotate between these two items. This L’Oreal BB Cream is great for a light coverage that also controls redness or uneven skin tones. The Tarte Amazonian Clay is a great mattifying full coverage foundation that is build-able and not cakey.

Next up is concealer. I’d been using this Maybelline for a while, but had heard so many people rave about the Tarte Shape Tape, I just had to jump on the bandwagon. So when Ulta had a sale recently I took advantage and am so glad I did. This stuff is truly a holy grail for dark circles, blemishes, and just brightening. A little goes a long way, but it has definitely become an everyday go-to product. I’ll also dab this over my eyelids with my beauty-blender as I get kinda dark up there too. I set the concealer with a little bit of this Dermablend Translucent setting powder.
To add some warmth and color to my face, I use this Tarte Tartiest Pro Glow palette. Just a little bronzer, and the tiniest bit of highlighter in the corner of my cheeks and down my nose help to brighten. I’ll also throw on a little blush to the apples of my cheeks.

On to the brows….brows have been such a hot top over the past couple of years. Bye-bye are the days of thin over-plucked/waxed brows, and in with thick + full beautifully shaped brows. Luckily, even though I used to get the sh*t waxed out of my brows back in the day, they still have decent shape and fullness, that I just have to fill them in a little bit. I’ve used an Anatastia brow kit for a couple years now along with a brow brush, but want to get a brow pen like this one soon.
Next up is mascara. My lashes are pathetic little things and need all the help they can get. I’ve been trying out this Lancome lash primer and really like it! It’s keeping my lashes healthy, all while giving me some additional length. I got the travel size to start with, but will most likely invest in the larger tube once this is gone–it’s good stuff! I’ve been super impressed with this drugstore mascara, Lash Paradise by L’Oreal. It paired with the primer has been a great combo for my short and stubby little lashes.

Lastly, I finish with a lipgloss of some sort. I love the NYX butter glosses (colors Creme Brulee or Tiramisu), but I recently found a Bare Minerals gloss in an old purse that I’ve been using. It’s so old they don’t even make it anymore, but here is the comparable gloss they have now.

So that’s it! Easy 5 minute makeup….maybe a few minutes extra if you have the time to spare. Like I mentioned earlier, when going for a more complete look, it takes closer to 15 minutes and I’ll add in eyeshadow and eyeliner, but I honestly just don’t take a lot of time on my makeup.

I’ve linked all the products for you, but let me know if you have any questions. XO
